    Lovesexy finds Prince at his most audacious, fusing pop, funk and spiritual intensity into a single, tightly sequenced statement. Released in 1988, the album followed the vault-clearing chaos of The Black Album and restored his flair for colour, melody and provocation with a brighter, more theatrical vision. Built around Minneapolis sound textures, sharp hooks and gospel-inflected themes, it includes key songs such as Alphabet St., Glam Slam and I Wish U Heaven. The record became one of the clearest expressions of Prince’s late-1980s reinvention, balancing sensuality, faith and surreal humour in a way only he could pull off.
