Produced by Collins and Hugh Padgham, it pairs crisp drums and clean synth-driven arrangements with standout songs such as I Don’t Care Anymore and the No. 1 cover of The Supremes’ You Can’t Hurry Love. The album helped confirm Collins as one of the defining hitmakers of the 1980s.
