Bombs Away Dream Babies is an LP by John Stewart from 1979 released on the RSO label.
About this album
Bombs Away Dream Babies sharpened John Stewart’s folk roots into a more radio-ready pop-rock sound, giving him the biggest breakthrough of his solo career. Released in 1979, the album brought his storytelling style together with bright, melodic arrangements and produced two enduring highlights in Gold and Lost Her In The Sun. Stewart, formerly of the Kingston Trio, had already built a respected solo catalogue, but this record helped broaden his audience and established him as a major late-70s singer-songwriter. Its blend of folk rock, soft rock and pop craft made it one of his most accessible and best-remembered albums.
