Move It On Over is the album that introduced George Thorogood & The Destroyers as one of the great barroom blues-rock bands. Built on stripped-back guitar, thundering rhythm and Thorogood’s sly, rough-edged vocal delivery, it turns old blues and R&B staples into something louder, leaner and built for sweating club stages. The title track became the band’s calling card, while versions of songs such as Who Do You Love? and Cocaine Blues helped define their tough, good-time approach. Released in 1978, the album established the formula that would carry Thorogood to lasting rock-radio and live favourites status.
