Released in 1977, it introduced Lou Gramm’s soaring vocals and Mick Jones’s precise songwriting in a sharp, radio-ready blend of American muscle and British polish. Built around signature cuts such as ‘Feels Like the First Time’ and ‘Cold as Ice’, the album gave Foreigner a fast commercial breakthrough and helped define the sound of late-70s classic rock. Its mix of strong hooks, clean production and hard-edged melody made the record a durable calling card for one of rock’s most successful transatlantic bands.
