Dream Police is an LP by Cheap Trick from 1979 released on the Epic label.
About this album
Dream Police sharpened Cheap Trick’s power-pop attack into one of the band’s most confident and commercially successful albums. Released in 1979, it found the Illinois quartet balancing heavy guitars, sharp hooks and sly humour with a bigger, more polished sound, helped by producer Tom Werman. The title track became one of their signature songs, while cuts such as Way of the World, Voices and Gonna Raise Hell showed a group stretching beyond pure bubblegum crunch into harder-edged arena rock. The album reached the top of the charts in the US and confirmed Cheap Trick as one of the key bands bridging pop melody and hard rock bite at the end of the 1970s.
