    Teaser and the Firecat is a breakthrough folk-rock statement from Cat Stevens, confirming him as one of the defining singer-songwriters of the early 1970s. Issued in 1971, the album followed the success of Mona Bone Jakon and helped carry Stevens from cult favourite to major international artist. Written and performed with a clear melodic instinct, it balances gentle acoustic detail with sharper pop craft, and includes some of his best-known songs, among them “Moonshadow”, “Peace Train” and “Morning Has Broken”.
