    Box Of Frogs is a lean, hard-driving blues rock debut that turns Yardbirds pedigree into something fresh rather than nostalgic. Formed by former Yardbirds members Chris Dreja, Paul Samwell-Smith and Jim McCarty, the band cut the album in 1984 with a cast that included guitarist Jeff Beck on selected tracks, giving the record extra bite and authority. Its blend of British blues roots, chunky riffs and arena-rock lift made it stand out in a decade dominated by polished production. The album is best known for its muscular approach and for showing these veteran players could still sound sharp, contemporary and genuinely combustible.
