Bonnie "Prince" Billy – We Are Together Again

Bonnie 'Prince' Billy returns in March 2026 with the album "We Are Together Again". The album is warm and personal and also designed to begin and end with the same words: "Why is the lion still here, outside?"

Thematically, the album is deeply rooted in Louisville, Bonnie "Prince" Billy's hometown. It celebrates the power of friendship, local community and collaborative artistic creation. It deliberately sets a counterpoint to globalization and instead advocates localism. It was recorded live in the End of an Ear studio with local musicians, friends and family members. Every sound is direct and unadulterated - what happens in the room can also be heard on the recording.

"We Are Together Again" does not take away the fears of a changing world, but confronts them with harmony. The album tells of cohesion, of the joy of being together and of how asking questions together can itself become a source of hope.
