About this album
Beck, Bogert & Appice is a hard-driving blues-rock set that unites three formidable players at full volume. The trio’s only studio album, released in 1973, showcases Jeff Beck’s lead guitar alongside Tim Bogert’s bass and Carmine Appice’s drums, with the group’s power-trio attack pushing hard rock into jazzier, looser territory. Built around muscular originals and sharply chosen covers, it reflects the virtuosity that made all three names major draws, while the chemistry is most obvious in the heavier, riff-led material. Though short-lived, the project became a well-known example of early-1970s heavyweight musicianship and an important chapter in Beck’s post-Yardbirds career.
