About this album
Galactic Zoo Dossier is a ferocious blend of psychedelic hard rock, prog and space-rock excess from Arthur Brown's Kingdom Come. Released in 1971, it followed Brown’s better-known work with The Crazy World of Arthur Brown and pushed his theatrical instincts into even stranger territory, with jagged riffs, experimental textures and surreal concepts. The album was recorded with the kind of restless energy that made Brown one of British rock’s most eccentric frontmen, balancing heavy guitar attack with oddball arrangements and apocalyptic flair. Although less famous than his earlier hit material, it remains a cult favourite and a vivid example of early-1970s British rock pushing beyond convention.
