    About this album

    For Those About to Rock solidified AC/DC’s status as arena-sized hard rock heavyweights. Arriving in 1981 after Back in Black, the album was the band’s first to top the US chart and carried their signature formula into heavier, more martial territory. Recorded with producer Robert John “Mutt” Lange, it balances blunt-force riffs, gang vocals and relentless rhythm with the title track’s cannon-firing finale becoming one of rock’s most recognisable openers and closers. Songs such as Put the Finger on You and Let’s Get It Up kept the band’s swagger intact, while the album helped define AC/DC’s early-’80s peak and enduring live reputation.
