Wild Bill Davis

Wild Bill Davis was a jazz and rhythm and blues organist who was born in Arkansas in 1918 and began his career in 1940. He was a pioneering jazz organist who fused swing, blues, and gospel, and is credited as one of the first to bring the Hammond organ into jazz.

His most successful albums include "The Wild Bill Davis Trio" (1962), "Soul Symphony" (1963), "Organ Grinder Swing" (1964), and "Organomically Correct" (1966). His most well-known songs include "Satin Doll," "Tequila," and "Tic-Tac-Toe."

An interesting fact about Wild Bill Davis is that he was also a talented composer, arranger, and producer. He wrote and arranged music for Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and Ella Fitzgerald, among others.
