Warren Zevon (1947-2003) was an American singer-songwriter and musician best known for his unique blend of country, folk, rock, and blues. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Fresno, California. His career began in the late 1960s and he achieved mainstream success in 1976 with his fourth album, Warren Zevon.

Some of his most popular albums include Warren Zevon (1976), Excitable Boy (1978), and Sentimental Hygiene (1987). His standout songs include "Werewolves of London" (1978), "Lawyers, Guns and Money" (1978), and "Keep Me in Your Heart" (2003).

An interesting fact about Warren Zevon is that he was a close friend of the late Hunter S. Thompson and his song "Lawyers, Guns and Money" is said to be a tribute to Thompson's writing.
