Warne Marsh was an American jazz saxophonist and composer, known for his skillful mastery of the bebop style. Marsh is particularly remembered for his collaborations with legendary jazz trumpeter, Lennie Tristano. He was born in Los Angeles in 1927 and started playing saxophone in his early teens. He studied music at USC, and soon afterwards started performing with Tristano and other jazz greats, such as Stan Kenton and Howard Rumsey.

Marsh recorded several albums in his lifetime, including "The Art of Improvising" (1957), "Intuition" (1958), "Crosscurrents" (1959), "Intuition Plus" (1960), and "Marshmallows" (1964). His standout albums include "Crosscurrents" and "Marshmallows".
