From the opener "Fazer" to "Dine Alone" and "Too Official", the music is consistent in a way that few bands manage. Reminiscent of bands like Fugazi and Helmet with a dash of Kyuss, Quicksand are guitar-driven angst, but strangely uplifting and accessible at the same time. It's probably the best post-hardcore album not by Fugazi.
