Utopia

Utopia is an American rock band formed in 1973 by Todd Rundgren, Kasim Sulton, Roger Powell and John "Willie" Wilcox. The band was initially active until 1986, and reunited briefly in 1992. They released eight studio albums, as well as a number of live albums and compilation albums.

Their first album, Utopia, was released in 1982 and was certified gold. It contained the hit single "Set Me Free" which peaked at No. 37 on the Billboard Hot 100. Other standout tracks from the album include "Feet Don't Fail Me Now", "Love Is the Answer", and "The Very Last Time".

The band's 1984 album Oblivion was their most successful album to date, reaching No. 20 on the Billboard 200. It contained the hit single "Caravan", which peaked at No. 40 on the Hot 100, and other standout tracks such as "Crybaby", "The Wheel", and "The Seven Rays".

Utopia's 1985 album P.O.V. was their highest charting album, reaching No. 17 on the Billboard 200. It contained the hit single "Lay Down Your Arms", which peaked at No. 44 on the Hot 100, as well as other standout tracks such as "Freak Parade", "The Verb To Love", and "Love In Action".

An interesting fact about Utopia is that they were the first band to release a live album and a video album in the same year, in 1984. The live album was titled Swing to the Right, while the video album was titled Utopia.
