Transvision Vamp Vinyl Records
Transvision Vamp was a British rock band formed in 1986 by Nick Christian Sayer and Wendy James. They released their debut album Pop Art in 1988, which included the hit single "I Want Your Love". The band achieved commercial success in the UK and the US with their second album Velveteen, released in 1989. It included the singles "Baby I Don't Care", "The Only One", and "Tell That Girl to Shut Up". The band's third album Little Magnets Versus the Bubble of Babble was released in 1991, which spawned the singles "If Looks Could Kill" and "Born to Be Sold".
The band's most successful album was the fourth release, 1992's Till the Band Comes In. The album featured the singles "Revolution Baby", "Landslide of Love" and "Sister Moon". The band's sound was an eclectic mix of punk, pop, and new wave.
An interesting fact about Transvision Vamp is that their name was inspired by the French New Wave film "Les Vampyres" by director Jean Rollin.
