Third World Vinyl Records

Third World is a Jamaican reggae band formed in 1973. The original members were keyboardist Michael “Ibo” Cooper, bassist Richard Daley, lead guitarist Stephen “Cat” Coore, and drummer Carl Barovier.

The band is known for their unique fusion of reggae, soul, funk, and rock, and for their social conscious lyrics. They have released over 25 albums since their formation, and have achieved multiple international hits throughout their career. Some of their most well-known songs include "Now That We Found Love" (1978), "Try Jah Love" (1982), and "Sense of Purpose" (1985).

Third World has had a number of standout albums throughout their career, including Journey to Addis (1978), 96° in the Shade (1977), and Sense of Purpose (1985). Their album Journey to Addis is often considered their best album, and featured the hit single “Now That We Found Love.”

An interesting fact about Third World is that they are one of the longest-running reggae bands in history, with over 40 years of continuous touring and recording. They have performed in front of millions of fans around the world, and are known for their energetic and uplifting live shows.
