The Police Vinyl Records
The Police are a rock band formed in London, England in 1977. The band consisted of Sting (vocals, bass guitar), Andy Summers (guitar) and Stewart Copeland (drums). They rose to fame with their debut album, Outlandos d'Amour, released in 1978.
The Police achieved international success with their next album, Regatta de Blanc (1979), which featured the hit single "Message in a Bottle". Other standout singles from the album included "Walking on the Moon" and "The Bed's Too Big Without You". Their third album, Zenyatta Mondatta (1980), contained the hit singles "Don't Stand So Close to Me" and "De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da".
The Police released their fourth and final studio album, Synchronicity, in 1983. The album featured the hit single "Every Breath You Take", which became the band's signature song. Other singles from the album included "Wrapped Around Your Finger", "King of Pain", and "Synchronicity II".
An interesting fact about The Police is that they have won five Grammy Awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003. They were also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.
