The Ozark Mountain Daredevils is an American Southern rock/country rock band formed in 1972 in Springfield, Missouri. The band is best known for their hit songs "Jackie Blue", "If You Wanna Get to Heaven", and "Chicken Train". The Ozark Mountain Daredevils were founded by John Dillon, Steve Cash, Michael "Supe" Granda, Buddy Brayfield, Larry Lee, and Randle Chowning.

The band's most successful album was 1974's It'll Shine When It Shines, which included the hit singles "If You Wanna Get to Heaven" and "Jackie Blue". The album also included their cover of "Country Girl" which was featured on the soundtrack of the movie Thelma and Louise. The band's other notable albums include The Car Over the Lake Album (1975), Men from Earth (1977), Don't Look Down (1980), and The Ozark Mountain Daredevils (1985).

The band's sound is a mix of country, rock, bluegrass, and folk music. They are known for their high-energy live performances and their unique instrumentation, which includes mandolin, fiddle, banjo, and steel guitar.

An interesting fact about the Ozark Mountain Daredevils is that they have toured with a number of notable artists, including Bob Dylan, The Eagles, and Van Morrison. They were also the first band to be signed to A&M Records after the label was formed in 1975.
