The Miracles Vinyl Records

The Miracles, originally known as The Matadors, were formed in Detroit, Michigan in 1955 by Smokey Robinson, Pete Moore, Ronnie White, Claudette Robinson and Bobby Rogers. They were the first act signed to Berry Gordy's legendary Motown label.

The Miracles' most notable albums include 1959's Hi... We're The Miracles, 1960's Cookin' With The Miracles, 1961's The Miracles Doin' Mickey's Monkey, 1965's Going to a Go-Go, 1967's Make It Happen and 1972's Flying High Together. They had numerous hit singles, including "Shop Around", "You've Really Got a Hold On Me", "Ooo Baby Baby", "The Tracks of My Tears", "I Second That Emotion" and "Tears of a Clown".

An interesting fact about The Miracles is that they were the first act to have a #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, with their 1960 single "Shop Around". This was also the first #1 song on the chart for the Motown label.
