The Gun Club Vinyl Records

The Gun Club was an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1980. The band's original lineup consisted of Jeffrey Lee Pierce (vocals, guitar), Kid Congo Powers (guitar), Rob Ritter (bass), and Terry Graham (drums). The Gun Club's sound was a unique blend of blues, punk, and country, often described as "cowpunk."

The Gun Club's first album, Fire of Love (1981), is often cited as one of the most influential albums of the 1980s and is considered one of the cornerstones of the American punk rock movement. Other notable albums include Miami (1982), The Las Vegas Story (1984), and Mother Juno (1987).

The Gun Club's most famous songs include "Sex Beat," "She's Like Heroin to Me," "Mother of Earth," "My Dreams," and "For the Love of Ivy."

An interesting fact about The Gun Club is that Jeffrey Lee Pierce was a huge fan of blues and country music and would often wear a Nudie suit on stage, a style of clothing popularized by country music singers in the 1950s.
