The Fifth Dimension is an American vocal group, whose repertoire includes pop, R&B, soul, jazz, light opera and Broadway. Formed in 1965 in Los Angeles, California, the group originally consisted of Marilyn McCoo, Billy Davis Jr., Lamonte McLemore, Florence LaRue, Ron Townson and Marilyn's husband, producer/arranger/composer, and former member of The Hi-Lo's, Billy Davis.

The Fifth Dimension's most popular and successful songs include "Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In," "Up, Up and Away," "Wedding Bell Blues," "One Less Bell to Answer," "Stone Soul Picnic," "Sweet Blindness," "Medley: Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In (The Flesh Failures)," "Last Night I Didn't Get to Sleep at All," and "Stoned Soul Picnic."

The Fifth Dimension's standout albums include their debut album, The 5th Dimension, Up, Up and Away (1967), Stoned Soul Picnic (1968), The Age of Aquarius (1969), and Portrait (1970).

An interesting fact about The Fifth Dimension is that they won three Grammy Awards in 1968 and 1969. They were awarded the Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for β€œUp, Up and Away” in 1968, and the Grammy Award for Record of the Year and Best Contemporary Vocal Performance by a Duo, Group or Chorus for β€œAquarius/Let the Sunshine In” in 1969.
