The Dave Clark Five was a popular British Invasion band from the 1960s. They were best known for their upbeat, energetic sound and their hit singles such as “Glad All Over”, “Bits and Pieces”, “Can’t You See That She’s Mine” and “Because”. They were one of the most popular groups of the British Invasion, having more charted singles than any other British band in the 1960s.

The band’s two standout albums were “Glad All Over” (1964) and “Having a Wild Weekend” (1965). “Glad All Over” featured their hit single of the same name, as well as the hits “Bits and Pieces” and “Can’t You See That She’s Mine”. “Having a Wild Weekend” featured the hits “Because”, “Any Way You Want It”, and “Come Home”.

An interesting fact about The Dave Clark Five is that they were the first British band to appear on The Ed Sullivan Show, performing their hit “Glad All Over” on January 5th, 1964. They also appeared on the show 14 more times throughout the 1960s.
