Techno

Techno is a form of electronic dance music (EDM) that originated in Detroit, Michigan in the early 1980s. It is characterized by a heavy emphasis on rhythm and a reliance on synthesizers and drum machines to create its signature sound. The genre is also known for its repetitive melodies and its use of computer-generated sounds. The original founders of techno music were Derrick May, Juan Atkins, and Kevin Saunderson, who were all members of the Detroit-based group, The Belleville Three. Techno has since evolved and expanded to include many different styles and subgenres, such as minimal techno, tech house, and hard techno.
