Slayer Vinyl Records

Slayer is an American thrash metal band from Huntington Park, California, formed in 1981. The band's members include Tom Araya (bass, vocals), Jeff Hanneman (guitar), Kerry King (guitar), and Dave Lombardo (drums). The band is credited as one of the "big four" of thrash metal bands, along with Metallica, Megadeth, and Anthrax.

Slayer's first three albums, Show No Mercy (1983), Hell Awaits (1985), and Reign in Blood (1986), are considered classics in the thrash metal genre and have earned them a large cult following. Show No Mercy featured the singles "Chemical Warfare" and "Black Magic", while Hell Awaits featured the single "Hell Awaits" and Reign in Blood included the singles "Angel of Death" and "Raining Blood".

The band's later albums have included South of Heaven (1988), Seasons in the Abyss (1990), Divine Intervention (1994), Diabolus in Musica (1998), God Hates Us All (2001), Christ Illusion (2006), and World Painted Blood (2009). Some of the band's most popular songs include "Angel of Death", "Raining Blood", "South of Heaven", "Seasons in the Abyss", and "War Ensemble".

An interesting fact about Slayer is that they are the only thrash metal band to appear on an episode of The Simpsons. In the episode "The Mook, the Chef, the Wife, and Her Homer", Homer and Marge attend a Slayer concert.
