Sinéad O'Connor is an Irish singer-songwriter and musician who rose to fame in the late 1980s. She is best known for her single "Nothing Compares 2 U," which became a worldwide hit in 1990 and is her signature song. O'Connor has released nine studio albums throughout her career, beginning with 1987's The Lion and the Cobra and most recently with 2016's I'm Not Bossy, I'm the Boss.
