Seiji Ozawa Vinyl Records
Seiji Ozawa is a Japanese conductor and composer who is one of the most highly respected classical musicians in the world. Born in 1935 in Manchuria, Ozawa began his musical studies in Tokyo before becoming a student of the legendary conductor, Leonard Bernstein. Ozawa has conducted numerous orchestras around the world, including the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Vienna Philharmonic. He has released several albums, including his album “Seiji Ozawa Conducts Mozart”, which was released in 1965 and featured the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields. He also released the album “Seiji Ozawa and the Boston Symphony Orchestra”, which featured works by Tchaikovsky, Dvorak and Brahms. His most popular albums include “Tchaikovsky: Symphony No. 5” and “Beethoven: Symphony No. 9”.
Ozawa has composed several pieces, including the symphonic poem “Tsuru” and the opera “The Magic Flute”. He has also written the book “The Art of Conducting”, which provides an insight into his conducting technique.
An interesting fact about Seiji Ozawa is that he was the first Asian conductor to lead the Vienna Philharmonic. He has also won numerous awards, including the Kennedy Center Honors and the Praemium Imperiale, which is the highest honor given to an artist by the Japanese government.
