Santana is a Latin rock band formed in 1966 in San Francisco, California. The group is led by guitarist Carlos Santana, and is known for their blend of Latin-influenced rock, jazz, blues, salsa, and African rhythms.

Santana's biggest hits include "Black Magic Woman," "Oye Como Va," "Smooth," and "Maria Maria," all from their 1999 album Supernatural. Other standout albums include Abraxas (1970), Santana III (1971), and Amigos (1976).

An interesting fact about Santana is that their single "Smooth" holds the record for the longest-running number one single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the 1990s, having spent 12 weeks at the top.
