Ramones Vinyl Records

The Ramones were an American punk rock band formed in 1974 in Queens, New York. The original lineup consisted of lead singer and songwriter Joey Ramone, guitarist Johnny Ramone, bassist Dee Dee Ramone and drummer Tommy Ramone. The Ramones pioneered the punk rock sound by stripping down the music to its barest elements, playing simple riffs, loud drums and singing about teenage angst and rebellion.

The Ramones released a string of classic punk albums that are considered essential listening for any fan of punk rock, including their 1976 self-titled debut album, 1977's Leave Home, 1978's Rocket to Russia, 1979's End of the Century, and 1980's Pleasant Dreams. These albums featured classic Ramones songs like "Blitzkrieg Bop," "Sheena is a Punk Rocker," "Rockaway Beach," "I Wanna Be Sedated," and "I Wanna Live."

An interesting fact about the Ramones is that they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002, becoming the first punk band to be so honored.
