Public Image Limited Vinyl Records

Public Image Limited (PiL) is an English post-punk band formed in 1978 by John Lydon (formerly of the Sex Pistols) and guitarist Keith Levene. The band has been highly influential in the evolution of alternative and experimental music, blending elements of punk, rock, electronic, and dub music.

PiL's debut album, First Issue, was released in 1978 and featured a mix of punk, dub, and avant-garde music. It received critical acclaim and was followed by the successful albums Metal Box (1979), The Flowers of Romance (1981), and This Is What You Want...This Is What You Get (1984). PiL's most popular albums are Album (1986), Happy? (1987), and 9 (1989).

The band's standout songs include "Public Image", "Rise", "This Is Not a Love Song", "Death Disco", and "Disappointed".

An interesting fact about Public Image Limited is that the band has released more than 10 albums since 1978, but their most recent album, This is PiL, was released in 2012 after a 17-year hiatus.
