Pseudo Echo are an Australian new wave/synthpop band, formed in Melbourne in 1982. The band is best known for their 1986 single "Funky Town" which topped the charts in Australia, and was a top 10 hit in the United States and throughout Europe.

The band's debut album, Autumnal Park, was released in 1984. The album featured the singles "Listening" and "Stranger in Me". The follow-up album, Love an Adventure, was released in 1986 and included the hit single "Funky Town". The single reached number one in Australia and the top 10 in the US and several European countries. The band's third album, Race, was released in 1988 and included the singles "Don't Go", "Living in a Dream" and "Lies Are Nothing".

The band's fourth album, Ultraviolet, was released in 1990 and featured the singles "A Beat for You", "Love an Adventure" and "Dancing Until Midnight". The album was their most successful in Australia, reaching number three on the ARIA charts.

The band's fifth album, Ultraviolet, was released in 1996. The album featured the singles "Walking in the Rain", "Don't Stop the Music" and "Out of My Hands".

An interesting fact about Pseudo Echo is that their lead singer, Brian Canham, is also a successful solo artist and has released several solo albums.
