One of the world's best-selling albums, "Brothers In Arms" by Dire Straits, celebrates its 40th anniversary with a product package including a 5LP and 3CD deluxe edition.
It was the first album to sell more than one million copies and went on to become the band's most commercially successful album. The album, which features the singles "So Far Away", "Money For Nothing", "Walk Of Life", "Brothers In Arms" and "Your Latest Trick", spent 14 consecutive weeks at number 1 in the UK album chart and is the eighth best-selling album in UK chart history. It has won, among other awards, the Grammy Award for Best Non-Classical Album and the BRIT Award for Best British Album.
The 5LP is housed in a beautiful slipcase inspired by Mark's National Style "O" resonator guitar, which also appears on the main album cover. The 5LP deluxe version include all tracks from the album and a previously unreleased full-length live concert from the band's 1985 tour stop at San Antonio's Municipal Auditorium.
These deluxe versions include a 16-page booklet with new liner notes written by journalist Paul Sexton, following new interviews with band members Mark Knopfler, John Ilsley and Guy Fletcher.
