The group's first album, Pat Metheny Group, was released in 1978 and is considered one of the group's most successful releases. It included the hits "San Lorenzo" and "Phase Dance". The group's second album, American Garage (1979), was also a success and included the hit single "Are You Going With Me?". The group continued to release albums throughout the '80s and '90s, including the albums Offramp (1982), The Falcon and the Snowman (1985), and We Live Here (1995).
