Ol' 55 Vinyl Records

Ol' 55 is an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1973 by Frankie J. Holden and Wilbur Wilde. The band was known for its unique blend of rock, pop, and country music, and enjoyed considerable success throughout the 1970s.

The band's self-titled debut album was released in 1975, which included their popular single "On the Prowl" which peaked at number 5 on the Australian charts. The album was followed by the 1976 album Take It Greasy, which included the title track as well as their signature song "Four Walls". This album spawned four top 40 singles and achieved Gold status.

The band's third and final album, In the Future, was released in 1979 and featured the singles "Rock 'n' Roll Lady" and "Looking for an Echo". This album was their most successful, reaching number one on the Australian charts and receiving Platinum certification.

An interesting fact about Ol' 55 is that the band was heavily influenced by the American rock and country music of the 1950s and 1960s, which was reflected in their sound.
