We lost the world music superstar Astrud Gilberto this past year, but her amazing recordings will continue forever. This 1977 Gilberto-produced album gets its first official release in decades. The long out of print Image Records release That Girl From Ipanema features a bevy of jazz greats like Chet Baker, Ron Carter, Don Sebesky, Dom Um Ramao, Will Lee and the great Phila. International working crew of co-producer Vince Montana, Cotton Kent, Larry Washington and many others. Features a funk bossa nova jam on her classic "The Girl From Ipanema", as well as songs from Nilsson, Cole Porter and a duet with Chet Baker on "Faraway."

Mastered impeccably by Joe Reagoso, this beautiful album is presented for Record Store Day 2024 on very cool Aqua colored vinyl.
