Narada Michael Walden is an American musician, songwriter, and producer. He has been a major force in the music industry for over 40 years, having worked with some of the most iconic and influential artists in the business. He has been credited with helping to bridge the gap between the gospel, R&B, jazz, and pop genres.

Walden has released eight solo albums and two collaboration albums. His standout solo albums include The Dance of Life (1979), Victory (1984), and Looking at You, Looking at Me (1987). His most popular songs are “I Shoulda Loved Ya”, “Divine Emotions”, “Summer Lady”, and “Freeway of Love”.

Walden has also produced and written songs for numerous artists, including Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and Steve Winwood. He is also the founder of Tarpan Records, an independent record label.

An interesting fact about Narada Michael Walden is that he was the first African American producer to win a Grammy Award for Album of the Year, which he won for producing Aretha Franklin’s album, Who’s Zoomin’ Who? (1985).
