Mr. Bungle is an experimental metal band from Northern California formed in 1985 by vocalist Mike Patton, guitarist Trey Spruance, bassist Trevor Dunn and drummer Danny Heifetz. Throughout the years, the band has had various members including Trevor Dunn, Trey Spruance, Mike Patton, Dave Lombardo, Scott Ian, Justin Pearson, and many more.

Their standout albums include 1991's self-titled debut, 1996's Disco Volante, and 1999's California. Disco Volante and California were highly experimental and showcased the band's eclectic style and influences. The self-titled debut featured more straightforward rock and metal elements, which set the band apart from the experimental music of the time.
