Her signature blend of blues, country, folk, and rock has earned her numerous awards, including three Grammy Awards, four Americana Music Awards, and two MTV Video Music Awards.

Williams' standout albums include Car Wheels on a Gravel Road (1998), which is often cited as one of the greatest albums of all time, and Essence (2001). Other critically acclaimed albums include World Without Tears (2003) and Little Honey (2008).
