Lloyd Cole & The Commotions Vinyl Records

Lloyd Cole & The Commotions were a British alternative rock band formed in Glasgow, Scotland in 1982. The band was comprised of Lloyd Cole (vocals, guitar), Neil Clark (guitar), Stephen Irvine (bass), Blair Cowan (keyboards) and Lawrence Donegan (drums). The band released four studio albums and four compilation albums before disbanding in 1989.

Their most successful album was 1984's Rattlesnakes, which peaked at #8 on the UK Albums Chart and was certified gold in the UK and platinum in France. The album spawned the hit singles "Perfect Skin" and "Rattlesnakes". Their other standout albums include Easy Pieces (1985) and Mainstream (1987).

Some of their most popular songs include "Lost Weekend", "Brand New Friend", "Jennifer She Said", "Are You Ready to Be Heartbroken" and "My Bag".

An interesting fact about the band is that they were the first band to be signed by the legendary Creation Records label. The label went on to sign other influential bands such as Oasis and Primal Scream.
