Johann Sebastian Bach Vinyl Records

Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) was a German composer and musician of the Baroque period. He is considered one of the greatest composers of all time and is credited with creating the foundations of classical music. He composed over 1,000 works during his lifetime, including the iconic Mass in B Minor and the Well-Tempered Clavier. Some of his most famous pieces are "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor," "Air on the G String," and "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring."

Bach was born in Eisenach, Germany, to a musical family. He began his musical training as a choirboy at the age of seven, and by the age of 10, he was already playing the organ. He spent much of his life as a church organist and choir director, but he also composed for secular events and held court positions.

Bach is also known for his extensive use of counterpoint, an intricate musical technique in which two or more melodic lines are interwoven. This has influenced composers throughout the centuries, and is still used today in modern classical and popular music.

An interesting fact about Bach is that he was an avid cyclist. He was known to ride long distances on his bike to visit friends and family, and to perform concerts.
