Itzhak Perlman is an Israeli-American violinist and conductor widely regarded as one of the greatest violinists of all time. He began studying the violin at the age of three and was soon recognized as a child prodigy. After studying at the Juilliard School of Music, Perlman made his professional debut at the age of 13, performing with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.

Perlman has released several critically acclaimed solo albums, including "In the Fiddler's House" (1995), "In the Mood" (1998), and "Live at the Blue Note" (2001). He has also collaborated with artists such as Yo-Yo Ma, Yoav Gilad, and RenΓ©e Fleming. Popular songs associated with Perlman include Bach's "Air on the G String," Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons," and Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue."

An interesting fact about Perlman is that he has been a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor in the United States, which he received from President Obama in 2015.
