Ike & Tina Turner were an American rhythm and blues duo active from the late 1950s to the early 1970s. The duo consisted of husband and wife Ike Turner and Tina Turner, and their music combined blues, soul, rock and roll, and gospel.

Ike & Tina Turner’s most successful and best-known songs include “A Fool in Love”, “River Deep – Mountain High”, and “Proud Mary”. Their standout albums include The Soul of Ike & Tina Turner (1961), River Deep – Mountain High (1966), and Workin’ Together (1971).

An interesting fact about Ike & Tina Turner is that the duo was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991. They were the first African-American husband and wife to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
