Hardcore

Hardcore is a form of punk rock that began in the late 1970s and early 1980s, and is known for its aggressive sound and DIY ethic. It is often characterized by fast tempos, shouted vocals, distorted guitars, and lyrical themes focusing on social and political issues. Hardcore bands have been influential to genres such as thrash metal, emo, and post-hardcore.
