Hank Mobley Vinyl Records

Hank Mobley was an American jazz saxophonist and composer. He is considered one of the most influential hard bop artists of the mid-20th century. Mobley was born in Eastman, Georgia, and began his musical career as a trumpeter in the U.S. Navy. He switched to tenor saxophone after being discharged, and became a part of the jazz scene in New York City.

Mobley is best known for his work with Blue Note Records in the 1950s and 1960s, where he recorded a series of classic albums. His most acclaimed albums include Soul Station (1960), Roll Call (1961), No Room for Squares (1963), and The Turnaround! (1965).

Some of Mobley's standout songs include "This I Dig of You" and "Dig Dis" from Soul Station, "Hank's Prank" from Roll Call, and "The Break Through" from The Turnaround!

An interesting fact about Mobley is that he was known as an "unsung hero" of jazz due to the fact that he didn't receive as much recognition as some of his contemporaries, such as John Coltrane or Sonny Rollins. Despite this, Mobley's influence on jazz and hard bop is undeniable.
