Gram Parsons Vinyl Records

Gram Parsons (born Cecil Ingram Connor III) was an American singer-songwriter and musician from Winter Haven, Florida. He is best known as a founder of the country-rock music genre, blending elements of country, folk, and rock music. His songs and recordings had a major influence on the development of rock music, particularly in the 1960s and 1970s. Parsons first gained fame as a member of the Byrds, recording their 1967 album Sweetheart of the Rodeo, which featured Parsons’ songs β€œHickory Wind” and β€œOne Hundred Years from Now”. After leaving the Byrds, Parsons formed the Flying Burrito Brothers, recording two albums with them, The Gilded Palace of Sin (1969) and Burrito Deluxe (1970). His solo albums included GP (1973) and Grievous Angel (1974). Parsons’ most famous songs include β€œHickory Wind”, β€œLove Hurts”, β€œShe”, β€œReturn of the Grievous Angel”, and β€œSin City”. His song β€œLove Hurts” has been covered by many artists, including Roy Orbison and Nazareth. An interesting fact about Gram Parsons is that his ashes were scattered in the Joshua Tree National Park in California after his death in 1973.
