George Benson Vinyl Records

George Benson is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1943. He began his career as a jazz guitarist in the 1960s, and in 1976 he released his breakthrough album Breezin'. This album featured Benson's signature song, “This Masquerade”, and helped establish him as a major figure in jazz-pop music. Benson has released over 40 albums throughout his career, including several chart-topping hits like “Give Me the Night” (1980), “Turn Your Love Around” (1981), and “The Greatest Love of All” (1985). His most recent album, Walking to New Orleans (2019), pays homage to classic R&B and blues. Benson has won 10 Grammy Awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Award, and has been inducted into the Guitar Center Rock Walk. An interesting fact about Benson is that he is the only artist to have had a Billboard number one album in both the jazz and pop categories.
