Georg Philipp Telemann (1681-1767) was a German Baroque composer, organist and violinist. He was one of the most prolific composers of the 18th century and is considered to be one of the most important composers of the Baroque period.
Telemann's most famous works include his “Twelve Fantasias for Solo Violin” (1735), “Overture in the French Style” (1738), and “Tafelmusik” (1733). He was a prolific composer of vocal and instrumental music, writing over 3000 works in his lifetime.
