Feargal Sharkey Vinyl Records

Feargal Sharkey is an Irish singer and songwriter, best known as the lead singer of the punk rock band The Undertones. He is also known for his solo career and his work as a music industry executive.

The Undertones are most known for their hit single “Teenage Kicks”, as well as other notable songs such as “My Perfect Cousin”, “Jimmy Jimmy” and “Here Comes the Summer”. Their most successful album was 1980’s The Sin of Pride.

As a solo artist, Sharkey released his debut solo album, Wish, in 1985, which spawned the hit single “A Good Heart”. Other singles from the album included “You Little Thief”, “Listen to Your Father”, “Loving You” and “Livin’ in Another World”. He followed this with his 1988 album, Songs from the Mardi Gras, which featured the singles “The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll” and “Listen to Your Father”.

An interesting fact about Feargal Sharkey is that he was the youngest-ever recipient of an honorary doctorate from Queen’s University in Belfast.
